Via our friend Traveler, I'm making the original Sephardic Orange and Almond Cake this weekend, because I am feeling sassy. I will report back about its success.

There IS the slight problem of how to get 1/2 pound ground almonds - 1/2 almonds, ground, would be much easier! Hmm. Suggestions?

Oh, and I'll post my recipe for Orange & Olive Oil Tea Cake soon, since it is also unusual and delicious and I sense that my Northern Lady Friends could use something to have with their afternoon tea, which is probably still a necessity.
