Blueberry and Banana Smoothie

Smoothies, made of any combination of fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, and/or ice, cannot but turn out delicious and hardly require a recipe. Nevertheless, I've settled on a particular combination of blueberry and banana that I have been enjoying this week. I like my smoothies on the thicker side; add more orange juice or crushed ice to thin. It makes just enough for one; simply increase the recipe proportionally to make more servings.

In a blender or, if lucky enough, the Magic Bullet, place:

  • 1 banana, broken into pieces
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries, depending on your taste
  • 3 spoonfuls of plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup of orange juice

To make it a habit, buy orange juice, a large container of plain yogurt, a bag of frozen blueberries, and as many bananas as smoothies you intend to drink that week.
