Sauteed Asparagus

Paula recently posted a great basic asparagus recipe. And then when I was food shopping, I discovered the asparagus was on sale. Since it is one of my favorite vegetables, I went ahead and bought two bunches.

Here's one of my favorite versions of an easy asparagus side. The gist of it: saute the asparagus in LOTS of garlic. Add salt. It's superquick and delicious! I can guarantee no leftovers.

Cut off the bottom. I usually take off a huge portion rather than get stuck chewing asparagus "bark."

I then cut the asparagus into halves or thirds:

I prep a large frying pan with an egregious amount of garlic. This time I think I put in about 7 cloves.

I add salt as I cook, stirring occasionally until the asparagus is bright green and tender.

It's done!
