Pumpkin Pie for Halloween
stacitastacita
What better way to celebrate Halloween than baking a pumpkin pie? With the snow gently falling outside, the warmth of the oven and the aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger are more needed than ever. (This is not a joke.)…

New to Ladies Recipes?
Ladies Recipes is a recipe wiki website created to help a few friends share their favorite recipes, chat about cooking, and keep track of what they've been making.

If you'd like to share your own recipes, first become a member. Then click here to get started. Make sure to set up your own Kitchen Space!

Site Guidelines

  • Only members can edit and add pages.
  • Any member can invite other members.
  • Any member can create, change or add to any page.
  • Post only your own original recipes or your unique versions of common recipes; if your recipe is derived from another website or cookbook, please direct readers to the source instead of posting the recipe.
  • Feel free to "sign" your recipes.
  • It's ok to add your own version of a recipe already written by someone else. Just add your name to distinguish it: "Stacy's Pasta Sauce."
  • Protect the integrity of other people's recipes (see below).

Protect the Integrity of Other People's Recipes
Making comments and suggestions on other people's recipes is welcome! However, do it in such a way that the person's original recipe is not compromised. We recommend adding a comment at the bottom of their recipe. You can also write your own variation of the recipe as a new recipe.

Site Guidelines

  • This is a private site—only members can see.
  • Any member can invite other members.
  • Any member can create, change or add to any page.
  • Feel free to "sign" your recipes.
  • It's ok to add your own version of a recipe already written by someone else. You can edit their page title to distinguish between them. For instance, Claire's recipe "Mulled Apple Cider" can be changed to "Claire's Mulled Apple Cider."
  • Protect the integrity of other people's recipes (see below).

Protect the Integrity of Other People's Recipes

Making comments and suggestions on other people's recipes is welcome! However, do it in such a way that the person's original recipe is not compromised. Some suggestions:

  • You can add a heading at the bottom of their recipe, i.e., "Variation by Stacy"
  • You can add a comment at the bottom of their recipe, i.e., by first creating a category "Comments" and then typing in something like "Basil works well here!"
  • You can add your own version of the recipe on the same page, i.e., "Stacy's Version of Eggplant Parm."
  • You can add a link to your own version or a similar recipe on another page. For instance, if Amanda has a recipe "Amanda's Eggplant Parm", Stacy can add a link to the bottom of Amanda's recipe for "Stacy's Eggplant Parm."

Organizational Tips

Help us find your recipes!

  • If you create a recipe, make sure you create a link in one of the side-bar menus so other people can find it.
  • If you create a recipe on your Food Profile, you can also create another link in the side-bar menu.
  • Use tags! Click the blue "tags" link at the bottom of any page. Insert tags like your name (so people can search your recipes), category words like "vegetarian", dish types like "salad", cuisine type like "Portuguese", or main ingredients like "avocado."
  • New recipes appear automatically on the Homepage and on the New Recipes! page.
